Galt is Sacramento County's southern gateway — a city of about 25,000 on Hwy 99, sitting between Lodi to the south and Elk Grove to the north. Tile underlayment on 2000s builds. Concrete tile can outlast its underlayment by decades. Many 2000s Galt subdivisions are now in the 20–25 year window where the underlayment fails while the tile still looks fine from the street.
